Industrial parks in the Annapolis Valley are home to both large manufacturers and smaller, service-oriented businesses.

Kentville Business Park

The Kentville Business Park is the Valley's most active business park. It covers about 200 acres and currently houses over 40 different commercial operations. The Park is considered to be an economic centre for businesses of all sizes and types in Kentville. The Park land in Kentville is taxed at the rural commercial tax rate.

Middleton Business Park

Middleton Business Park, established in 1979, covers 80 acres. Of these, 45 have been developed so far. Another 27 acres have been set aside as wetland or greenspace. Roadways, etc., take up a few more. About 3 acres are currently available for development. Qualifying businesses are eligible for the rural commercial tax rate.

Town of Berwick Industrial Park

The Industrial Park, Town of Berwick, is located on the site of a former food-manufacturing plant. The site has two access points for Highways 101 and 1 traffic, 180,000 square feet of built space (office, open and storage) on 25 acres with room to expand and custom build. It also has eight dock levelers and 11 ground-level loading docks, industrial electrical capacity, two drilled artesian wells, municipal sewer, and industrial zoning.

Other industrial parks

Industrial parks are also located in other communities, such as Coldbrook, Cornwallis Square, and Port Williams. If you would like information on industrial parks near you, contact the relevant Municipality. These are the Municipality of the County of Kings, the Municipality of the County of Annapolis, and West Hants Regional Municipality.

We acknowledge that we are in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq People.  This territory is covered by the "Treaties of Peace and Friendship" which Mi'kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) People first signed with the British Crown in 1725.  The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi'kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.

We also acknowledge that people of African descent have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years, and we honour and offer gratitude to those ancestors of African descent who came before us to this land.
