The Town of Wolfville is a classic college town, home to the beautiful campus of Acadia University. Stately homes line the streets. Downtown is a mix of shops, restaurants, service businesses, and a library. Parks and trails provide recreational facilities and space to hike. The University offers recreation facilities for the community.
Only an hour's drive from Halifax and Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Wolfville is a self-sufficient community of about 4,200 residents. It is surrounded by dykelands built by the Acadians in the 1600s, plus family farms, orchards, and scenic vistas. A 20-minute drive in almost any direction will bring you to one of the area's wineries. Or hop on the Magic Winery Bus for a tour of five local wineries in a traditional British double-decker bus.
Education
Acadia University is one of Canada's oldest and most respected undergraduate universities. Renowned for its R&D, Acadia is also home to the stunning K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre and the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens.
Wolfville School is walkable from most neighbourhoods. It has an Elementary (primary–grade 5) and a Middle Level (grades 6–8). Its graduates attend the nearby Horton High School.
Landmark East School is Canada's only day and boarding school for students with learning differences.
L'ARCHE Homefires provides support and opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.
Vibrant culture
Wolfville enjoys a cultural life second to none. Dedicated volunteers have restored and reimagined the Acadia Cinema, whose roots go back to 1911. Other have created wildly successful international festivals. Public art is tucked into unexpected corners for you to discover.

Devour! The Food Film Fest is a five-day festival in late fall to celebrate cinema, food and wine.
The Canadian Deep Roots Music Festival is an annual September event. It brings together local and international folk and roots singers, songwriters and musicians. It's a weekend of concerts, workshops, and celebration.
Wolfville Farmers' Market is a bustling Saturday market with more than 50 vendors. WFM2Go is the Market's online ordering and weekly pickup and delivery service. There's even a Market Store that's open six days a week.
